Set over two floors, you enter the property on the ground floor which presents a good-sized double bedroom with plenty of storage for your stay. Up one flight of stairs is the open plan living, kitchen and dining space with table and chairs should you not wish to dine out in the many restaurants/cafés close by. There are also plenty of opportunities for day trips to the spa town of Harrogate, pretty cathedral city of Ripon or the ancient walled city of York which is just 25 miles away, and if you don’t feel like driving there is an excellent train service from Thirsk station. Thirsk also offers the base to explore the beautiful countryside with some of the best historical buildings nearby, including castle Howard, Beningborough Hall and the beautiful monastery ruins of Rievaulx, Fountains Abbey and Mount Grace Priory.
