Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: A great homestay - perfect for our family group of 18 across 3 generations. The homestay is approx 5 minutes to the west gate and was perfect for quick access into the park - our hosts shuttled our big group to and from the park which was very helpful. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, helping to ensure we had the right tickets and suggesting the best routes to take. Best of all for our group that had multiple food allergies (gluten free, dairy free, nut allergy) was the food. Our hosts proactively contacted us about allergies and made all arrangements for purchasing gluten free soy sauce catering for all of our group - a welcome relief as travelling through china with dietary restrictions is not easy! Over the 3 days breakfasts and dinners were a great mix that catered for everyone.
Negative: This is not a criticism, however if you wish to visit the grand canyon area which is outside of the park, it is a long way from the west gate.
Summary: A memorable stay with gluten free meals!!!
