it consists of:
ground floor with an open plan sitting area combined with fully equipped kitchen/dining and separated wc with basin Internal wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, which consists of one double bedroom and a small sitting corner with original Corfiot handmade furniture and a second double bedroom and a sofa - which can be converted to two singles or one double bed - a large bathroom with view and a small store room.
both bedrooms have large windows with an amazing view to the ropa valley
the villa is constructed in both stones and bricks, has a patio shaded by olive trees and is nestled on a hillock full of oak trees, holm-oaks, lentils, wild flowers and herbs
it is spacious, tastefully decorated and very well-equipped so that it feels like a home away from home The garden is sublime: in May it is filled with flowers and the wonderful scent of blossoms, with fireflies every evening as a bonus! It is a joy to sit in the dappled shade on the sun lounger or hammock reading and enjoying the rural tranquility. The location is excellent for exploring any part of Corfu. It is only a 20 minute drive to charming Corfu Old Town (a World Heritage Site) and on easy day trips to the mountainous North East and unspoilt South West coast of the island. It is also close to some gorgeous beaches, including Myrtiotissa which is a 30-40 minute walk down the mountain (this was Gerald Durrall's favourite beach).
