part of the capo carbonara marine protected park, there are two paths leading to a sandy beach below the villa and another cove with sea access via the rocks One of the nearby beaches can only be reached by Villa Catallia and one other neighbour.
you can also walk along a path to the marina, around 15km away, where you will find a couple of restaurants as well as mooring yachts. Look out for boat and diving excursions, a wonderful way to see the coastline, and make sure you visit the old fortress in a picture-perfect setting.
just behind the marina is a salt-water lake where you may be able to spot pink flamingos, surrounded by mediterranean fauna and the famous notteri beach, perfect for snorkelling and scuba-diving, also lovely with families (it is especially popular in the height of the summer)
