Positive: The view from the top of the mountain is outstanding. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of pancakes, toast, eggs cooked to order and Thai food. The infinity pool overlooking the mountains and beach is breathtaking. The kids loved playing games of pool on the table in the main area. Access to Netflix etc on the tv. The owner greeted us at the start and was lovely and accomodating. We were also given free transportation to the villa from our other hotel.
Negative: The property doesn’t entirely look like the photos as it not new and quite tired looking. It needs some maintenance to bring it up to standard. The shower flooded in one of the rooms and we had to lift the drain out, we had no hot water on the first night (this was fixed for showers) but then no hot water for the some of the baths so we couldn’t use them. The Villa is so far away and isolated that you need to have your own transportation. We ended up having to hire a car so we could get around. There was also no tv in rooms so you couldn’t relax at night and wind down unless you all sat together in the main area. The towels were falling apart and had stains on them. There was very limited housekeeping throughout the stay. Shower & pool were not replaced or folded, bins only occasionally emptied. There is an amazing water feature in the kitchen area but this was only turned on for our arrival and not throughout our stay. With a little attention to detail the owners could easily increase the enhance the quality of the stay for travellers.
Summary: Nice place but needs some maintenance and a shuttle to be worth the expensive cost per night.
