Positive: Everything! Mostly I loved how quiet and peaceful it was, since it’s removed from the main island. Also, the natural atmosphere of being located in a turtle reserve. The landscaping was absolutely beautiful. I loved the option to have our own private dip pool, and access to the infinity pool in the open air restaurant. (The food was amazing, too!) Mostly, THE STAFF! Every employee working there was so kind, and made our stay 10 times better than we thought it would be from start to finish. They greeted us with drinks as soon as we stepped off the boat, and they helped us make last minute plans for scuba diving, snorkeling, massages, and were very responsive any time we had questions via WhatsApp. Its clear that they prioritize relationships with visitors over just a transactional experiences :)
Negative: We booked a suite with a kitchenette, minibar, and a seaside view on booking.com, but we were put in a room facing inland with no kitchenette or minibar for the same price. I assumed it was my mistake until I just looked up the booking again, or else I’m sure they would have fixed it on the spot. Not sure if the wires got crossed on the Booking.com end or on Turtle Island’s end, but thought someone would like to know so it doesn’t happen to another guest.
