Positive: We liked Ventimiglia a lot. We went to the botanical gardens (Giardini) Hunbury (there are taxis in front of the station which bring you there for 20 euros). Dit was one of the big highlights. But the old city of Ventimiglia is fantastic as well. We also enjoyed Sanremo which is worth a visit. There is a beautiful little parc on the top of this city with a great view on Sanremo. The apartment was perfect. We did not cook or eat there. We just made some tea. It was clean and comfortable. We had the industrial apartment with sea view. There is a great restaurant in the old town of Ventimiglia, next to the Cattedrale (Il piccolo bistrò). The make fresh pasta and you can sit on the terras at the square.
Negative: You have to pay 10 euros p.p. for laundry and towels. And 6 euros p.p. tourist taxes. All together 32 euros above the price which is indicated on booking.com
