Summary: Older building but apartment was quite impressive. Photos are pretty spot on. Some maintenance and cleaning issues, such as toilet flush, barely any towels upon arrival and the few that were there were not clean, floor tile on balcony are all loose, clogged sink, and missing grille on one AC vent. Mgmt is fast to respond but we didn’t bother them for items my husband was able to fix himself. A thorough cleaning and inspection prior to rental would really benefit future rental opportunities. Open Kitchen is spacious and decently equipped. Again, if cleaning supplies and minor items like trash bags, one large pot and condiments were available, the place could demand more money. One main issue which we figured out on Day 3 of a cold week (Nov) is that the thermostat for the master bedroom is located in the hallway near the living room. It’s an ADT thermostat which we had originally associated to the security alarm company. We eventually realised that it was the bedroom thermostat. It’s particularly oddly located since it will read the temperature in the warm hallway vs the cold bedroom. I’d say housekeeping and cleanliness are the 2 main issues. Common areas of building are old, including elevators, but you don’t spend much time there so it’s acceptable. Location is great…one block from beachfront. Seemed like a relatively safe area. Easy to park in attached garage.
