Tucked into the tall pines alongside the Holy Waters. The Castaway offers an amazing location for enjoying all the Au Sable has to offer. The setting couldn't be more perfect. Just outside the kitchen guests will enjoy an outdoor area with a firepit. The area is perfect for cooking over the open flame, relaxing with a good book, or snuggling up to watch the star-filled night sky. The deck around the front of the home has a grill and river front view. The cabin itself sits about 200 feet back from the river. Down near the river there is a grass clearing perfect for sitting in the Adirondacks while waiting for just the right moment to wet your line. Entry into the river off the property is ankle deep rocky bottom. This is a highly sought area for wading anglers. For those not familiar with the Grayling area, it offers more than the greatest fly fishing. The river attracts tubers, kayakers, and canoeing. Our cabin is situated between Burton's Landing and Keystone Landing. Grayling is also in the center of a region with the most incredible golf courses such as Forest Dunes, Treetops, and Boyne Mountain. Looking for a nearby beach? Kneff Lake is a small hidden local spot for kids to pay in the and water. Wellington Farms, a historic working farm, also makes a great visit for something out of the ordinary. The winter months attract many who love the outdoors. Whether you are into snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding or downhill skiing, you will find a spot to keep you engaged. The cabin has a perfect sledding hill. Hanson Hills offers many trails for year-round adventures, including tubing and skiing. Treetops offers downhill skiing and tubing. We like to cater to family gatherings, anglers and couples. Out of respect to our neighborhood we do request that there aren't any large gatherings or late nights that would disrupt their quiet river setting..
