Positive: The location next to the city center and to the Victor Hugo Lumière cinema is really super. The property is spacious, equipped with a dish washer and a washing machine. Bringing the products for these would be a good idea for travellers. Families and friends can also cook all basic dishes because the kitchen is equipped with necessary utensils. There are two bathrooms: downstairs and upstairs, and a spacious living room with a big windows allowing in light and taking care of privacy at the same time. There is a wonderful dining area, a kitchen equipped with what is necessary. Flexible arrivals are possible, and there is professional service to answer questions during their working hours on working days. The guests can feel free to arrive flexibly and to leave anytime because there is a very clear arrival and checking-out procedure. The overall design is really thoughtful and positive for the guests' well-being.
Negative: The property is super for several people: big families and/or friends travelling together. Four adults can sleep separately comfortably, there is a solution for the fifth or even sixth person sleeping separately but it becomes complicated for the fifth person because they need to take a mattrass from the other beds. The number of people is connected with another challenge: if only one complete key (with a magnet badge for the entrance on the premises and a key for the apartment) is offered, it is difficult to make the most of the stay, given that larger groups might want to be flexible, and different members should not feel obliged to depend on each other when coming and going to enjoy the beautiful Besançon. It might be worth giving several keys if there are more than two paying guests. A key that only opens the door of the apartment, but not of the building, only serves half of its purpose when you have more than two guests. Also, an electric kettle could be an enrichment for those who drink tea or other hot beverages. A missing blind was not fixed during our three-day stay. Well, and I didn't get a reply to my questions prior to booking. Maybe replying to potential guests would be a good idea. But all this is said just by way of feedback at a high level. We always found a solution and a replacement for occasional missing things because there are shops very near to the location. Having said all this, I strongly recommend this apartment. Once can see that the people in charge are professional, and available on the phone for emergency situations.
