This spacious 2-BR/2-Bath corner unit, Trailhead #205, is in the fabulous Suncadia Resort, on the east (sunny!) side of the Cascade Mountains less than 90 minutes from Seattle.
the unit is beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture, a gas fireplace, and a flat-screen tv in the living room A full kitchen with stainless-steel appliances has everything you’ll need for cooking and dining in if you don’t want to walk the 3 minutes to the Lodge for dinner! A slab-granite counter has barstools, and the dining-room table seats eight comfortably (and has an extra leaf for more).
there is a king-size bed in the master bedroom, plus a flat-screen tv and a full-sized closet stocked with extra blankets and pillows The en-suite master bathroom, with double sinks, has a deep Japanese soaking tub and a walk-in tiled shower. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed with another flat-screen TV. A pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room means you can sleep six people comfortably. There is a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.
an outdoor deck off the living room has a table for six: perfect for lunch in the afternoon sun or drinks while watching the sunset A smaller deck off the second bedroom has a table and chairs: good for catching some morning sun over a cup of coffee. Watch for deer and elk, which often graze just below our decks.
our unit is both child-friendly and dog-friendly There is a port-a-crib in the closet, a portable high-chair seat, plus an extra leash and dog-food dish for your furry guests. The condo is stocked with books, games, magazines, and regional travel guides for your enjoyment, with many more in the 2nd floor lobby.
trailhead was built with heavy timbers in classic mountain architecture, has its own swimming pool and hot tub (open seasonally), with restrooms and an indoor shower An adjacent BBQ/picnic area, with covered tables, looks out over Suncadia’s golf driving range and a large grassy play area.
our trailhead condo is in a quiet area of the resort, but just a short walk by a paved trail to the main suncadia lodge The Lodge has a comfortable great room and a fabulous view of the Cascades to the west, plus live music on many weekends. They offer free “S’mores” makings (roasting sticks, marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers) weekend nights – every night during summer and holidays - at two firepits. kids love this feature! (grownups too!)
when you check in at the lodge, ask the concierge for each day’s schedule of activities and suggestions for special adventures: hiking, biking, golfing, tennis, rafting, fishing, sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, or just relaxing by the fire CampCadia offers fun and entertainment for kids. Just below the Lodge is a scenic stairway leading down to the Cle Elum River, with a picnic area and hiking trails. Playgrounds for children are scattered throughout Suncadia, so be sure to pick up a free map. There is also a Frisbee Golf course; ask concierge for details.

with our unit, you have access to all of suncadia’s amenities, which include the suncadia club swim and fitness center, also just a short walk away on paved trails, with a fully equipped workout room, dressing rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a large hot tub, and a water slide for kids An outdoor amphitheater offers music concerts in the summer and an ice-skating rink in the winter. It has bike/scooter rentals, canoe/kayak/paddle-board rentals, and a walking trail around a small lake.
summertime brings you access to the new nelson preserve recreation area, with pool, wading pool, a lazy river, and hot tub, as well as informal dining at the facility
the inn at suncadia, just past the lodge, has an informal restaurant, the stovehouse, that offers full meals, after-golf drinks and snacks, or game-day specials to watch your favorite teams
swiftwater winery on the suncadia property has hoist house, another excellent restaurant, a nice gift shop, and live music concerts A large fireplace in the lobby is a great place for a glass of wine and hors-d’oeuvres. Or sit outside and watch people climb the “slag heap” left over from coal-mining days. A short trail near the parking lot has more historic mining sites.

The Roslyn Movie Theater offers first-run films and welcomes dogs! The unique Roslyn Cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places and is well worth a tour.

Don’t miss the famous Cle Elum Bakery and two more local meat markets, Glondo's and Owen's. The city of Ellensburg, only 25 miles away, is home to Central Washington University, plus a historic downtown with shops, restaurants, and art galleries. The annual Ellensburg Rodeo on Labor Day Weekend is one of the nation's “Top 10 Rodeos.” Many award-winning Washington wineries are within a short drive.
