How would you like to relax on 200' of lake frontage with private dock and perfect spot to put in a small boat or kayak? Larger fishing boats can be easily launched by public ramp at other end of lake. 3 person canoe and flat bottom 10 ft (motorless)included. Boating not your thing? Sip coffee and read a book on the porch or hammock mere feet from water's edge. Enjoy the best hunting and ATVing northern Maine has to offer with immediate access to marked trails. Enjoy the privacy and freedom of the Maine woods, and bring your furry friends along. Our cabin offers two bedrooms, open loft, and futon to accommodate families and friends. Be aware this camp is OFF GRID. WATER NEEDS TO BE BUCKETED FROM THE LAKE. Lights are propane or rechargeable/battery operated. There is an outhouse (bugs can and do get in, its out of our control), and screened outdoor showering enclosure with a Joolca on demand hot water heater(propane included). We provided a battery and 25w solar panel to run the pump. It can also be plugged into car barrel plug. We also have a camping toilet to be used inside for more weary and young travelers (must be emptied into outhouse upon leaving). Washing water comes from the lake, so you must BRING drinking water. But don't worry! You'll hardly be roughing it with propane lights, stove, gas grill and refrigerator, and hot shower (propane included). There is a 100w solar system with charging station(charge depends on available sunshine). Power a low wattage appliance, charge phones and laptops. Watch a movie on DVD player. Relax lakeside in the hammock, or toss horseshoes with the family. Explore the lake in included boats and life jackets. Fishing poles also available for those with Maine fishing license. Dine lakeside with picnic table and screened tent room. Watch the sun set from the dock and porch with views of Katahdin in the distance. Take the edge off of chilly nights with the woodburning stove or camp fire. Play board games with your loved ones. Then sleep tight in provided linens with the sound of the Loons echoing across the 1000 acre lake.
the molunkus camps are secluded and not typically rented This is an opportunity to enjoy one of Maine's best kept secrets. 20 minutes to Apple Gas station and Winn General Store. 40 minutes to Lincoln and all the amenities. Baxter state park and a golf course all within reasonable driving distance. ***Camp Someday has it all but may be best enjoyed by those with AWD vehicle ( dirt/gravel access rd), love of the outdoors, and desire to get away from it all. there are bugs and its off grid**
