Summary: First impressions were not good. We arranged for late checkin, a key was to be left in a coded key box. On arrival just after midnight, very tired, there was no key in the keybox, and no-one to answer the phone. No-one answered the door. Luckily we found a member of staff purely by chance, when we saw a downstairs light on at the back of the property. Rooms at first appear dated, but they are individual in style and actually more appealing than a modern and boring standard Travelodge. Comfortable bed. The pool was a welcome facility in the sunshine. The hotel is about 500m from George Clooneys villa - the hotel is in a good location, 15mins drive from Como with good views across the lake. Cannot comment on dining as we were room only. We would stay again, but arrive before check in closes!
