Positive: We stayed at Roy House (or Lavy House) on the back of a few city centre apartment stays, and it was exactly what we needed to relax, unwind, and slow down a little. The accommodation is really generously sized, particularly for a couple, and has everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed taking a break from restaurants, shopping at local supermarkets (10 minutes' drive away) and using the kitchen to cater for ourselves. The facilities are great, with a huge terrace and garden area, and a fantastic clean swimming pool that always had available sunbeds. There are also lots of pool toys and games available. It would be great for a family holiday. Gavino is an excellent host and was incredibly responsive and friendly. He even met us on our first morning with fresh melon from his farm.

Negative: The interior of the accommodation is a little dated, and the BBQ is a little rusty, but don't let this put you off. The bed isn't the most comfortable - the mattress is springy and thin - but we slept ok while we were there. The booking was a little confusing, as the listing is called Roy House, but once you get inside you have two accommodations - Roy House and Lavy House. It wasn't clear which one we were staying in, but Gavino responded promptly to clear things up. None of this took away from our stay though. We had a lovely time.
