Located on Little Traverse Lake in Maple City, MI, Birchwood offers you the opportunity to fully experience the best the area has to offer. The home itself is newly constructed with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The open floor plan provides plenty of space for a family of 5. The kitchen has new appliances and an island space for dining. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating and a TV. Also on the main floor is a half bath. Upstairs guests will find three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, the first guest room has one twin bed and the second guest room has two twin beds. A full bathroom is located on the upper floor as well. If you are planning on staying for a while, you will appreciate the washer and dryer.
we recommend walking out to the back deck and taking in the peaceful surroundings with your morning cup of coffee Nature surrounds you and much wildlife has been spotted roaming the lot including rabbits, deer, beaver, otters, birds, and much more. Take a walk down the boardwalk that connects you to the private access on Little Traverse Lake. Bring a small boat and feel free to use the dock. The lake is 640 acres and offers an opportunity for fishing for multiple species of fish including bluegill and bass. we recommend taking out the included canoe and paddling this beautiful lake - maybe you will spot an otter or a turtle!
off the property, you will enjoy the proximity to various attractions Pyramid Point Trailhead is a short 10 minute drive and offers a fantastic hiking opportunity for families and a view you will never forget! Good Harbor Bay Beach is only a 6 minute drive away for guests wanting to spend the day swimming on Lake Michigan. An 18 minute drive puts you at the Sleeping Bear Sand Dune Climb. We absolutely recommend taking the scenic drive through the national park, packing a picnic and enjoying the fantastic views and fun at the dunes. The small village of Glen Arbor is about a 10 minute drive and has some fantastic local dining options, a grocery store, and other local shopping. There is a charming public playground with basketball courts, tennis courts and more. A 30 minute drive will put you in Traverse City, which offers some of the best dining, shopping, and entertainment in the area.
