This is a welcoming base from which to explore this thriving and beautiful town without the hefty hotel charges. It can comfortably sleep two couples or a family of four, with the bedroom's double bed and the sofa bed in the living room. TV and free WIFI. La Rochelle is the most attractive city on the West Coast of France. The Charente Maritime area, like the Vendee, enjoys a 'micro-climate' of temperatures similar to those on the South Coast of France.

It takes 5 minutes to get to the Place de Verdun in the centre of La Rochelle (it takes about 20 minutes by foot for the same trip). The bus stop is "La Vallée". For cycle paths, they exist everywhere in La Rochelle. Here is a map of the bike trails on which I marked the location of our Residence with a small red star.
