Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This place was a great choice for some chill days. It is placed in a quiet area just in the opening of a gorge, without anything else around but very close to some villages and the town of Ierapetra (car needed). It has nice views of the mountain but the sea is also visible. Great view of the stars in the night too! It is built with balconies in several levels and connected by stairs, giving the vibe of a little village in the island. The facilities are humble but it’s enough to be comfortable and gives a nostalgic atmosphere. It is simple and beautiful, made me feel like home and reminded me of my childhood vacation. Most guests were families but some young couples too. I could see children had a great time roaming around and playing with the cats that are taken care by the people in the property. The owner and the staff were sweet and kind. They were caring and offered their help without even being asked, when we arrived without our bags due to flight delays. There are some nice beaches very close to the property, with our favourite being Kakkos Beach (5’ by car).

Summary: Overall, a great experience and a very good value for money.
