You will get the experience of living in a real Mexican neighborhood, some americans and sometimes Europeans live in the same building so even if you don't speak Spanish you will have someone to talk to. There are real Oaxacan restaraurants nearby, mercados and there is a supermarket 5 minutes walking (CHEDRAHUI) which is kind of like the Mexican version of Walmart where you will be able to find all your groceries at an affordable price. There is a laundry 5 minutes walking and a water dispenser 5 minutes walking as well. So everything you need is within walking distance.
whitin two minutes walking you will the avenue periferico where you can take the bus and taxis that will take you to the outskirts of oaxaca or the nearby neighborhoods There is also Av. Pinosuarez and Av. Benito Juarez where you can also take the bus to nearby neighborhoods but mostly you will have everything you need within walking distance..
