Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Room was nice with a view over some historic buildings. The reception staff were helpful and under pressure working from a couple of tables, while the reception area is under renovations.

Negative: The Mantra Albury is under renovation. There was only 1 lift working and we were on the 6th floor, so we had to wait considerable time for the lift to arrive. We found someone's eye contact lense in the bathroom basin, which was concerning! The restaurant has been relocated to the first floor during renovations, and our dinner took ages and was ok, but not great. Make sure you book underground parking at a cost of $20 per night, as the local public carpark feels unsafe. We took the option for breakfast and there was plenty of variety but be mindful you pay extra for coffee if ordered from the coffee cart.

Summary: Good location, but some inconvenience while renovations are underway
