Positive: The coffee for breakfast was truly amazing. But we only got it on the first morning, the second one, we got tea, who knows why. Room was spacious.

Negative: At first, they wanted to use a 4 soles per US dollar conversion rate despite the official conversion was 3.5 soles per US dollar. We complained, they argued that that's the normal conversion used by airlines and hotels, which wasn't true, at least not for the at least 20 other hotels and hostels we stayed at during our trip through Peru. Eventually they agreed to the 3.5 conversion. In addition, this was one of the 2 hotels in all of Peru that charged us VAT, even though we are not citizens of Peru and we paid cash. Other hotels told us that the additional charge was due when paying by credit card only. The photos of rooms are outdated. the room itself was much more worn than expected. The noise from the street was constant throughout the day, with heavy traffic and many cars. Breakfast is meager: a cup of some infusion, 3-5 small cubes of fruit, and a tiny piece of pastry. Not sure if this is the normal breakfast, or we got an extra tiny version because we used the 3.5 conversion instead of the 4 they wanted.
