The Lilac Cottage has a warm inviting living room adjoining a large kitchen w/ all the tools & appliances for cooking; including a wood burning stove and dining table set for 6. 2bedroom's plus a full bathroom adjacent to the laundry /mud room. A fenced yard, B-B-Q, Firepit-Black wicker chairs & table for outdoor dining, a hammock, lounger's, zero gravity chairs, camp chairs & our doggy pool. enjoy sunshine or shade, look @ our wild flower/
vegetable garden; corn, peas, beens, tomatoes Please don't forget to smell the roses, we take great pride in our ornamental bushes, & grass lawn. the rose scent is ambrosia. Enjoy our mid-stay optional free light cleaning including linen change for stays longer than a week. Lake Isabella nearby encourages swimming, tube floating, boating, canoeing, kayaking. As well as beach side lounging & picnics. Hiking trails, river views, & great local restaurants for refueling at the end of the day. Enjoy local kareoke, imbibe @ several bars. Sleep in, relax, enjoy. Read a book for pleasure, play board games, watch TV w/ surround sound, bluray-dvd player included. Cook fresh fish you catch in the upper or lower Kern & Lake Isabella. Free fishing at any one of the local spots along the river or lake. Visit Keysville, Kernville, Wofford Heights, Havila and Caliente towns for lunch. Listen to local folklore and legends about the miner's, the cowboys, the Indians and the early settlers. Watch upwards of 30 movie westerns filmed here in the valley some w/ John Wayne. Pan for gold, visit the Ghost town in Bodfish and visit the Uni Cuni Cultural Center to learn about the local tribes & eat indian tacos. Visit the cemetary between Wofford Heights & Kernville seated along the upper Kern River. Sit and relax in the different free natural mineral springs found here in the Valley Miracle Hot Springs, Scovern Hot Springs or Hot Spring Valley . Off roading allowed in several areas (just look for the tracks.) Rent boats & jet skies at the Lake Isabella Marina & boat dock. 1/2 day's or by the hour. Fish the lake on a plontoon boat.
