Positive: This is the place to stay if you need a break from 'old school' Bangkok accommodation...come here for a spacious room, cleanliness and a warm shower! The free bread, bananas and coffee were a lovely touch. The hostel (more like a small hotel) is tucked away down a non-through road, so it is nice and quiet.

Negative: Although spotlessly clean, the beds were typically hard and the mattresses finished in a pvc covering, which made them very hot and sweaty - even with their cotton sheet over the top. The river taxi pier wasn't functioning during our stay, however the bus option was easy to use and navigate. As I mentioned previously, this is a good place to stop to get clean, and recharge, unfortunately we felt both the hostel and the area were lacking some personality. We didn't find any good street food options nearby, in fact, after a month in Bangkok this was the only area we have so far experienced this. The communal spaces within the hostel, although clean and comfortable could become a little friendlier, more inviting, with some low level background music, more plants and perhaps a little separation from the reception area.
