many brides, artists, corporate and spiritual groups take advantage of the stunning native grounds, with towering mountain ash as a backdrop for their photos In general, to hire the grounds it is required that you hire all 3 cottages for the night before.
events/grounds hire
we are happy to host outdoor events including wedding dinners or lunches, parties etc Outdoor furniture is not provided and must be hired at guest expense. To use the property/grounds for groups up to 20 we charge a grounds hire fee of $500 a day (8 hours). To use the property/grounds for groups up to 50 (maximum number) we charge a grounds hire fee of $700 a day (8 hours). If youβd like to make a group booking please contact your host.

please use the heating as necessary while in the house Please do not leave the heating on while not in the house. Excessive use will lead to very high costs which may be charged to the guest via the security bond. Fans are provided, however as Mount Dandenong is generally about 5 degrees cooler than the other parts of Melbourne and as The Fernglen Forest Retreat is located in a gully with a creek running through the property, provided a further cooling effect, the property rarely gets too warm, even in the summer.
