Positive: A Fabulous Family Holiday – A Very Solid 4.5 Star Resort We have just returned from a fantastic 10-night holiday at Is Serenas Badesi Resort with our two children (aged 2 and 5), and we were genuinely pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay. We booked extremely last minute after having to change our original holiday plans to the Middle East and, with school half-term dates restricting our options, there wasn't a huge amount available. We booked knowing it wouldn't be perfect, but it exceeded our expectations in many ways. First and foremost, the staff are what make this resort special. A huge thank you to Rosella in the main restaurant. She was there for most of our meals and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Every morning she would remember to ask if I wanted my decaf cappuccino, and every evening she would appear with a Prosecco before I even had to ask. It's those little touches that make a holiday memorable, and she made every dining experience feel personal. She is an absolute credit to the resort and genuinely made our stay feel special. Another massive shout-out goes to Benito from the entertainment team. The entire entertainment team were exceptional—hard-working, positive, kind and energetic despite what were clearly very long days. Benito was unforgettable. He puts 100% into everything he does, is genuinely passionate about entertaining guests, and completely stole every show he was involved in. Our daughter also absolutely adored Monica, who was so friendly, warm and engaging with children throughout our stay. One thing that genuinely exceeded our expectations was the children's facilities and entertainment. We booked through Booking.com and, honestly, the photos don't do this aspect of the resort justice at all. There is so much for children to do.

Negative: There were only a few areas where the resort could improve, and these are intended as suggestions rather than criticisms. We stayed in a Prestige room and really enjoyed using the Prestige Pool. However, it could benefit from some background music to create a bit more atmosphere. It would also be helpful to have a water station available, similar to the other pools. The pool closes between 1pm and 3pm and, for guests who don't want to head to lunch, there is currently nowhere nearby to get drinking water. Also, the light in the ladies' toilets at the Prestige Pool wasn't working during our stay. The resort app was another frustration. We were encouraged to download it on arrival to book activities and access information, but it didn't work on our UK phones. After about a week we were told it should work, but although we could finally access it, it wouldn't recognise our booking reference and reception couldn't explain why. As a result, we spent the entire holiday without access to the app and missed useful information. For example, we only discovered on our final day that water sports were available, which was disappointing as we would definitely have liked to try them. We were also surprised that the beach restaurant wasn't open during our stay. We understand the resort is only open for around four months of the year, but the beach restaurant doesn't open until mid-to-late June. Given its beautiful setting and sunset views, having a second dining option available would have made a big difference, particularly for guests staying longer than a week. Being restricted to a single restaurant for all meals wasn't ideal, and it feels like a missed opportunity. Finally, it's worth noting that the resort is quite remote. This wasn't a problem for us travelling with young children, as we weren't planning extensive sightseeing anyway. However, couples or families with older children may want to hire a car.
