We are a motel/hotel located in the heart of Durango Colorado. Located right on Junction creek we your jumping off point for all Durango adventures.

stay in our newly renovated hostel rooms that offer affordable accommodation year round in durango Stay includes access to a swimming pool, shared kitchen space, and lounge. Rooms include linens, soap, and shampoo.

cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

the guest or payee of the hostel bed is personally liable and responsible for all charges and damages associated with the bed and room It is a condition of occupancy that the guest or payee are held to Motel Durango’s Policies and Rules. Any violation of Motel Durango’s Policies and Rules may result in the modification or cancellation of your stay. We are committed to providing our guests with a safe and family-friendly environment.
check-in requirements: the minimum age to check in is 21 years old, we will not make any exceptions to persons younger than 21 A valid ID or Passport is required for all reservations. Motel Durango requires a deposit of $50 per room in the form of a credit card. We will place a pre-authorization hold for the deposit and release the hold once the room has been cleaned and checked for damages. Payments for the cost of the room(s) can be made by cash or credit card.
early check-in: early check-in is based on room availability
check-in & check-out: check-in begins at 4:00 pm daily Check-Out ends at 11:00 am daily.
late check-out: late check-out is not offered at this time All guests who are checking out must vacate the property by 11:00 am. Failure to comply with the check-out time will result in an additional charge of $50.
pet policy: motel durango does not allow any pets to stay in the hostel rooms
maximum occupancy: one guest is permitted per bed There will be no exceptions for this rule.
room key cards: motel staff can only issue room key cards to the guest listed on the arrival form
guest policies :
drugs & alcohol: motel durango is committed to providing a safe family-friendly environment for all of our guests Drugs, including marijuana for medical or recreational purposes, are strictly prohibited on the property. Additionally, alcohol is to only be consumed in your room. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the cancelation of your stay with no refund.
smoking: smoking is only permitted on our property in designated smoking areas All cigarette butts must be disposed of in a designated receptacle. Guests who choose to smoke in their room or elsewhere on the property will be charged a $250 smoking fee.
no cooking, cooking appliances, combustibles, or fireworks: a fee of $300 will be charged for cooking in a room if staff finds any items including but not limited to hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, rice cookers, combustibles, open flames, barbecue grills, or any other item intended for cooking Open fires, cooking grills, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the property. Additionally, we can not allow candles, incense, or oil diffusers.
quiet hours: quiet hours will begin at 10:30 pm and go until 6:30 am the following morning If there is a noise disturbance during these hours, we will give the room a first and final warning. Upon the second complaint, your reservation will be canceled and all guests must vacate the property immediately.
damage policies:
damage to rooms, mattresses, and bedding: damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, artwork, etc will be charged at the appropriate rate of a full new replacement plus shipping costs. Additionally, all damages to mattresses, box springs, or linens will also be charged at the appropriate rate of a full new replacement plus shipping costs. Any damages to the property are the responsibility of the payee of the room. All charges associated with damages and repairs will be billed to the credit card on file.
damage to or tampering with fire detection systems: damaging or tampering with any fire detection equipment throughout the property will result in immediate cancellation of the guest's reservation Should we find that the fire detection system had been damaged or tampered with after the guest has departed, Motel Durango reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for all costs associated with all damages and repairs.
lost & found:
lost & found policy: motel durango is not liable for any lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged belongings If you believe that you have left items behind, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist you in locating your lost belongings. For any belongings that our staff discovers after a stay, we will contact the guest.
unclaimed items: all items that have been left on the property will be kept in a safe location for thirty (30) days After this time frame, the items will either be thrown away or donated to local organizations..
