BIG NEWS; Captiva is coming back to life after the devastating hurricane in Sept. 2022. My house will be ready to receive guest as of January 28, 2023 with all new bedding, furniture, new kitchen, and baths, freshly painted inside and out with a tropical/nautical theme.
located on popular wightman lane, in the village area of captiva, 'rick's retreat' is a ground level home originally built by bette davis and just steps to the beach! freshly painted inside and out, this home is tastefully decorated in island and tropical decor Exceptionally bright--simple and clean with all modern amenities and all appliances. 'Ricks' is not one of these palatial beach palaces with elevators, theaters, etc. More on the order of a deluxe cottage in a tropical setting, the way Captiva used to be! Included are 4 smart TVs with Xfinity streaming, stereo, all linens, beach chairs, towels, Enjoy the sunny front area with outside shower (showering under the stars at night is a real treat) and gas grill, or enjoy the private rear screened porch. Fully equipped kitchen (new in January 2022), two updated baths (January 2022), inside laundry, outside gas grill, three bedrooms plus enclosed den, all surrounded by lush vegetation and privacy and a short walk down a palm-shaded sandy lane to the beach.
rick's retreat's prime village location lets one enjoy as many or as few amenities as one desires! park your car; you will not need it! the most beautiful beach is at one end of the lane, with excellent restaurants at the other end; what more could one want!

We had the best weather, great food and wonderful home to come back to at night. Thank you so much.
