For foot protection, water shoes or fins are recommended, given the abundant marine life and coral. While beaches in Grand Cayman may occasionally experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed, which is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has become more frequent in recent years, it is mostly seasonal, particularly in the summer. We make every effort to remove heavy sargassum and ensure the beach is raked and ready for you before your arrival, so you can fully enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
