Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful location in the olive groves. Super-relaxing place to stay, lovely pool, staff couldn't have been more helpful. Good base for exploring western Crete, lots of walks advice available. Breakfasts and dinners (optional) were excellent, and there are also plenty of tavernas nearby for when you want to eat out.

Negative: Rooms and bathrooms are just slightly old-fashioned, but that's part of the 'traditional' charm. Blankets were rather small for the bed (and it wasn't cold enough for heavy duvet). The approach from the National road is narrow and a little scary at first, but you soon get used to it and also realise there are other options.
