Positive: The building may be an old traditional house but it has been tastefully renovated with all modern comforts whilst still retaining a lot of the original features that make it so charming. We had everything we needed for a great stay. The beds were comfortable, the air-con was great, there was also plenty of free parking just around the corner.
Negative: Firstly, the owner charged for coffee machine capsules and tea bags, luckily we had enough time to dash to the shops on the first day once we realized that upon check in, so bring your own coffee pods/capsules for the coffee machine so you won't have to pay 1 euro per capsule and teabag. Secondly, this is a shared house - so there are 3 bedrooms (1 on the ground floor, 2 on the top floor) and a shared kitchen and living room area. During our stay, there was one other family there and they woke us up early in the morning when they were up making breakfast - the soundproofing isn't good enough and you're really dependent on the other guests behaving in a considerate manner if you don't go to bed and get up at exactly the same time as them. This is really the kind of situation you might face in a busy hotel or hostel, but not what you expect when you rent an entire holiday home to have to yourself, so please bear this in mind when considering this facility. Lastly, the location of El Masroig village is so remote, it's a tiny village with 480 inhabitants so you'll need your own car to access this place. I have a knee injury, so I found going up and down the stairs quite bothersome, so please be aware if you have any mobility issues associated with stairs as the living room/kitchen facilities and the bedrooms are not on the same floor.
