Summary: The property itself was great. Unfortunately, we were given the wrong directions in our email from the property management company. We attempted to call the listed phone number and did not get through to anyone for some time. We eventually got through and were told that we weren't following the directions. After clarifying we didn't have the right directions, we got to the correct property. We had been told that it was possible that a septic company would be on site pumping (not sure why you wouldn't handle this before check in time) and were greeted by the septic company telling us the septic line was crushed and someone was supposed to have called us. We called the property management office and were told everything was fine before finally getting on the same page that there was standing sewage in the front yard. We waited over an hour before we heard back. The property management company gave us options of other properties that they had picked, as everything within their company was booked. We picked one of the options and were told if there were any issues, to please call back. We got to the new property and there was no toilet paper, we called and got sent to voicemail. We didn't hear back until the next morning and were passed off to different people in the original property management company. My husband and I both understood they had no control over the new booking being fully stocked but we weren't given a new phone number for the new property (we only got a listing showing the booking...we didn't get anything from the new rental until 12pm on check out day...when check out was at 11 am and it had been forwarded from the original property company we booked with). My husband and I both spoke to multiple people within the original property management company, being passed on from one to the next. We finally spoke to Lisa who agreed in our request for a refund for the first day of our booking as we had lost the day (we got there at check in time and didn't get into a different property until nearly 7:45 pm). Kyle called and debated back and forth with us and kept stating that he had booked us a place that was more than the original property (he's the one who picked the options for us to stay in) and they could have just canceled us (albeit we were supposed to be notified about the septic issue before check in time). The property seemed great but they've got communication and management issues to work out with staff if they want success.
