Mikado Park is a beautiful historic property, once the stopover for horse drawn carriages travelling from Melbourne to Sale.
we have refurbished the entire farmhouse with new functional kitchen, gorgeous bathroom and beautiful bedrooms There are three indoor living areas and an alfresco area on huge private wrap around verandah with views of Mt Cannibal and the Bunyip Ranges.
please note that the farmhouse is not the only accommodation on the property
we, the hosts live on the property and we run a smaller cottage bnb on the same property Rest assured once you’re in the farmhouse you are very secluded and your area is very private during your stay. You will see our agistees riding their horses and the hosts working in the property but no one enters your area including the pool and front garden.
mikado park is primarily an equine property with 20 horses on site We also have 3 pet calves, free range chooks and dogs.
mikado park has been operating as a bnb for 12 months and everyone who have been here have been delighted with their stay
the outdoor pool is a huge hit over the summer months and the infrared sauna (bookings essential / not free) is a great way to detox, de stress and relax
we offer horse riding lessons by arrangement prior to your stay as a professional instructor needs to be booked for insurance / safety purposes
guests are welcome to roam our 27 acres and stroll next door to the cannibal creek reserve (Dog friendly).
mikado park is a 3 minute drive to the base of mt cannibal hike (moderate fitness required) and a 6 minute drive to gumbuya world
