'Bawley Beachcomber' is a classic Australian beach house with retro styling. Perched in the trees, the house enjoys an elevated position and is less than 100 metres from the dog-friendly Cormorant beach. Enjoy waking to the sound of waves! 'Salty' is a classic 1957 bondwood caravan that sits under the house to accomodate larger bookings (or if you have a smaller group but would like to hang out in this cute retro space). Bawley Point is a hidden gem. Nestled between two national parks with three stunning beaches to choose from, you can enjoy surfing, bush walks or simply relaxing on the beach with a good book. We hope you enjoy the beach vibe as much as we do! THE SPACE: 'Bawley Beachcomber' has a bright, airy living space with restored vintage furniture. There is a lovely retro fireplace and a supply of firewood for cool evenings. During the warmer days, enjoy the natural beach breeze. The main bedroom has a queen bed and a single trundle. The second bedroom has a double bed. All beds have doona cover but sheets are not supplied (although we may be able to arrange sheets at a fee of $25 per ped with advance notice). 'Salty' the caravan can be booked as a third bedroom space (with 2 small single beds) at a cost of $50 per night. We are in the process of lovingly restoring the house and are open to guest suggestions. We have just put in a hot water outdoor shower. We allow well behaved pets in the living area and on the balcony (not on the beds or furniture please). Like most houses in the area, the yard is not fenced. Cormorant beach is an off-leash dog beach and great fun for your furry friend. Kids are welcome (we have some ourselves) but please be mindful of the steep stairs and the fireplace which has no guard. We are on tank water and would appreciate careful water use. Also, we have a septic system so please don't put sanitary products or chemicals down the toilet. The phone reception can be variable. There seems to be better coverage if you walk to the top of the hill. There is no internet at the house and we only have local TV.
