Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We are 2 self-catering 70+ yr olds travelling who have been travelling in Spain for a couple of months. Once we got to the apartment everything was good. It is large and spacious and right in the middle of things next to the Plaza del Torico. The shower is good, there's lots of hot water and the dining table in the lounge is big, There is an elevator to the first floor and this corner apartment has lots of light with small balconies (2 of which are padlocked). It has two bedrooms so would be great for a family. The number of pans in the kitchen would make a kitchen supplier jealous! There is a Lidl supermarket only 5 minutes walk away which is handy.

Negative: In comparison to finding our other 14 apartments this was really stressful - and this was only because we couldn't find the building door on google maps from the address on booking.com and we also had to find alternative parking at the last minute. We messaged the host back and forth a few times the night before and received a photo that didn't match anything we could find at the address. We were only only able to confirm that a doorway we found was the right one by sending a street screenshot from google maps. I have added photos so other guests know what's happening. The photos show the brown building door and the corner that the apartment covers on the first floor. *Take note of this if you are wanting to park here** We asked for parking when we booked but we the night before the host told us our car was probably too big for the garage so we had to find an alternative at short notice. (See photo of green garage door in Calle Rubios around the corner from the building entrance). This meant we had to walk with our luggage for about 10 minutes - part of which was up a steep hill - fortunately there is an elevator in the street otherwise we would have had to carry it up about 100 steps. (PS the parking we found is free and is in the Train station car park) There was no kettle in the apartment and no mugs for tea/coffee. Some of the items we wanted to use had to be washed as they were greasy. There is no wi-fi and the mobile signal isn't strong enough to hotspot.
