Built in 1852, the cottage was first owned by a Confederate soldier who played a pivotal role in the Battle of New Market a few miles away. Throughout the centuries, the cottage has been sold, repurposed, and refurbished into the spectacular vacation home it stands as today, but with echoes of its rich past still lingering. The riverside cottage bed and breakfast offers a cozy and quiet spot for guests to get away from it all. Guests can enjoy a tin roof and master bedroom with a screen-in porch overlooking the river, giving this northern Virginia cottage rental everything needed for an adventure getaway. The sounds of the river, amazing sunrises, and sunsets will have those who stay wishing they stayed longer.
